Common Questions
Taking the first step can feel daunting. Here are some questions that often come up before we begin.
Your first session is a gentle, unhurried conversation. There's no pressure to share everything at once — we take time to get to know each other, talk about what's brought you to therapy, and explore what you'd like to work towards. There are no right or wrong answers, and everything shared is completely confidential.
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people find a few focused sessions helpful; others prefer longer-term support as they work through deeper patterns. We'll regularly review how things are going together and let you lead the pace — it's always your choice how long we work together.
Yes — I offer both in-person and online therapy via a secure, private video platform. Many clients find online sessions just as meaningful as face-to-face, with the added comfort of being in their own environment. Whichever works best for you, we can make it work.
Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work together. Everything shared in sessions is kept strictly private. The only exceptions are very rare circumstances where there may be a risk of serious harm — these are explained fully in our initial agreement, and I will always discuss them with you openly and honestly.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and a sliding scale is available for those who need it. I believe financial concerns should never be a barrier to getting support. The free initial consultation gives us a chance to discuss fees openly before you commit to anything at all.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about understanding yourself better, therapy can help. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit — many people come simply because they want a calm, supportive space to explore life. The free consultation is a no-pressure way to find out if we're a good fit for each other.
Take the first step
